Campaign Announcement

CRP Delegates of the Central Coast,

For over a decade, it’s been my pleasure to work side-by-side with many of you and other Republicans in our region on a wide array of issues affecting our California Republican Party.

Today, I’m announcing my candidacy for Central Coast Regional Vice Chair so that I may serve our delegates, our region, and our Party as we look to the future.

During the February 22-23 Organizing Convention in Sacramento, delegates will cast their vote for the new leadership of the California Republican Party.  We will have the opportunity to decide which path is the right way forward.

As we reflect on the November election, it is safe to say the California Republican Party needs to refocus its efforts on the ideals that make our party attractive to voters. Our State Party now has the tools to support Republican candidates including a full time staff, a functioning headquarters, and the ability to raise funds, but it needs new leadership that has fresh ideas as well as the experience to get things done.

We need new ideas to complement our existing tools, ideas that will retain and excite our base while engaging new voters. Falling back on tactics that proved successful decades ago won’t cut it; we live in a rapidly advancing technological world. Putting that technology to work to reach out to voters with branding that appeals to their sensibilities and excites them to engage is the direction in which we need to head.

At the same time, it’s no secret that we are far behind in registration. Our grassroots volunteers are frustrated from losing race after race and when we do win, we’ve experienced Republican elected officials voting against our principles. As a former county party executive director and consistent volunteer for Republican campaigns along our coast, I know that when we recruit the right candidates and equip them with the right tools, our candidates carry the winning message to the polls.

Together, we can move forward and bridge that divide. We can attract no party preference voters to our candidates and eventually, increase our registration numbers. As we prepare for the upcoming convention, I will reach out to each of you to hear your ideas on how to make the California Republican Party a winning organization and share my thoughts about it, too. If elected to the Board, I will represent you and your ideas while supporting the interests of our unique region.

During the day, I am a professional fundraiser for the largest employer in Western Ventura County, working with the community in securing funds through corporate giving and event sponsorships.  I hope to bring my fundraising expertise to the Board along with my aptitude in campaign management and party operations. These skills will allow me to represent you well and assist in guiding our Party to success.

Our outgoing Central Coast Regional Vice Chair, Rob Bernosky, along with Republican leaders in our region have very kindly endorsed me. It would be an honor to have your support and endorsement, too. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me at

Thank you,

Lindsey Stetson
